삶은 가장 가까이 있으면서도 쉽게 정의할 수 없는 존재의 상태이다. 반복되는 일상 속에서 우리는 살아간다는 사실을 당연하게 받아들이지만, 예술은 그 익숙함 속에 잠재된 감각과 질문을 다시 불러낸다.
갤러리 다선에서 개최되는 특별전 〈LIFE〉는 동시대를 살아가는 네 명의 작가—김바르, 왕에스더, 이희상, 양정은—의 시선을 통해 ‘삶’이라는 보편적이면서도 근원적인 주제를 조망한다.
각 작가는 서로 다른 매체와 조형 언어를 바탕으로 삶의 순간, 감정, 관계, 그리고 시간의 흔적을 포착한다. 작품 속에 드러나는 생의 풍경은 거창한 서사보다는 개인의 내면에서 출발하며, 미세한 감각과 축적된 시간의 결을 통해 관람자에게 조용한 공명을 일으킨다. 이는 삶을 바라보는 각자의 방식이 얼마나 다양하고 다층적인지를 보여준다.
이번 전시는 특정한 해답을 제시하기보다는, 삶을 다시 바라보고 사유할 수 있는 여백을 남긴다. 작품 앞에 선 관람자 각자가 자신의 기억과 감정을 투영하며 ‘나의 삶’에 대해 질문을 던지는 계기가 되기를 바란다.
갤러리 다선에서 펼쳐지는 <LIFE〉를 통해 동시대 미술이 건네는 삶의 단면을 함께 마주해 보길 기대한다.

While we often accept living as a given within the routines of everyday life, art invites us to reconsider the sensations and questions embedded in that familiarity. The special exhibition LIFE, held at Gallery Dasun, explores this fundamental yet universal theme through the works of four contemporary artists: Bareu Kim, Esther Wang, Heesang Lee, and Jeongeun Yang. Each artist approaches the concept of life through distinct materials and visual languages, capturing moments, emotions, relationships, and traces of time. Rather than presenting grand narratives, the works emerge from personal and introspective perspectives, revealing subtle sensibilities and accumulated temporal layers that resonate quietly with the viewer. Together, they demonstrate the diversity and complexity inherent in how life is perceived and experienced. This exhibition does not seek to offer definitive answers, but instead creates space for reflection. Standing before the works, viewers are invited to project their own memories and emotions, reconsidering what life means to them. LIFE at Gallery Dasun presents a contemplative encounter with fragments of living as expressed through contemporary art.
